signed on for the Republic of Singapore Navy. think I made one of the most important decisions in my life. 5 years bond. really looking forward to flipping open the next chapter of my life. will commission in jan.

will be sailing away for 6 weeks on 16 feb. long time. everyone please take care and happy chinese new year!!!

OCS! I am finally another step towards establishing my career! Looking to sign on for either navy or the army! Then take up a part time degree! Life’s good!

BMT’s about to end. haiz. Kinda gonna miss it a lot.
5BX, marching to cook house, my sergeants n sirs, my platoon mates.

Army really gave me a huge insight into people and about life. How what one person does for his/her benefit can in turn affect the lives of people around him/her. About human nature, about our own survival instincts, the harsh reality of life, etc.

I really learnt a lot during my time in BMT and I will miss this fun phase of life.

Navy or Air Force? Will I even get into OCS? Where will I be in 2 years time?

Results will be made known to me by next week. I wish and hope for the best……

Haven’t gotten a reply yet. Hopefully it will come by soon.

Uni application headache. What to study? I need more time. Crap….

Truly enjoying my NS life now. Gonna be over in 3 weeks time. I learnt so many things there. About my personality, about myself, about living with others from oh so different backgrounds, about life. As according to my 1st SG, “What’s most important is that you realise your own limitations and work towards to overcoming them. ” This statement really struck me a lot.

Overall I experienced loads of personal ups & downs. Surviving field camp, sitest, live grenade, range & IPPT. Gonna sew on my IPPT Gold badge later =)

I am about to make the most important decision in my life. Hope it turns out for the better for my family & me.

Guess I won’t be able to see my buddies for 3 weeks =(

quite enjoying the army life now. made great friends from my platoon. gonna chiong sua for field camp next week!
